1 Timothy 6:17

“Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment.”

I came to Saskatoon approximately 10 years ago. I had health issues and work issues when I came. I couldn’t seem to get a decent job and I worked any hours I could for several jobs. I went back to school again as my education wasn’t what hiring people in Saskatoon seemed to be looking for. I was mentally and physically exaughsted. I even became a CAP client to see if there was anything I could do to help my finances. Even though I still highly regard CAP and thoroughly endorse it, there was little they could do for me. I was still relying on my own work and effort.

Slowly my outstanding bills got paid and even though I rarely had extra money, God provided all I needed. In 2020 I finally had one job with a decent schedule that wasn’t overwhelming to me. In 2021 God sent a better job where I was able to stay home and work four days a week. I found I was still exaughsted and had high blood pressure with other medical issues. I suddenly unexpectedly found myself out of work again in the beginning of 2022. Praying, relying on God and my children's generosity, I have had a rest, my health restored and I was provided for.

I haven’t had tons of money, but I have been shown the tons of riches that I am daily blessed with.

I have been able to be at my kids disposal and fully blessed to be part of their lives. I have also been able to be in the lives of my grandkids. I have been blessed to get to go help my other grandkids out of province. I have been blessed to finally have time and energy to become involved in my church family. I have been blessed to become part of a Bible study again. I have learned God’s blessings and provisions are so much greater than just finances. He has provided all of my needs and I am learning to lean on Him alone. He has put friends to confirm His promised to me, to us as His children.
